Ladies Sacred Heart Confraternity
St Mary’s & St John’s Sacred Heart Confraternity was formed many years ago. We are a small group of ladies, who meet regularly. Our aim is to raise funds for the parish.
We recently merged with St Patrick’s to form one parish. We raise funds by holding different events i.e., Spring Fayres and Christmas Fayres, Bring and Buys, Hotpot Lunches, Raffles etc. We are always looking for new members and everyone is welcome.
The Confraternity hold many fund-raising events within the parish. These events are usually held at St Patrick's Social Club and are essential to providing funds for the many projects that the Parish has.
Lourdes Pilgrimage Group
The Lourdes Pilgrimage Group organise a pilgrimage to Lourdes in France every year in conjunction with other parishes in the dieses. If you are interested in going to Lourdes on a pilgrimage, please contact Joanne Marcroft (07988 706973) for details and availability.
Lourdes Pilgrimage 2024
A group of 19 travelled to Lourdes representing the Parish of St Mary's & St John's and St Patrick's Mass Centre with the Liverpool Archdiocesan annual Lourdes Pilgrimage.

Legion
of
Mary
The Legion of Mary looks after those parishioners who are less able to attend mass. Members will make visits to those who request a visit and communion cam be given by prior arrangements.
The group meet every Wednesday at St Mary's & St John's presbytery meeting room at 10 am after mass.
All are welcome to attend and join the group.
The Legion is looking for volunteers to join
The
Choir
St Mary's & St John's has had a choir for many years but members have drifted away.
It is hoped that the choir can be re-established so that the joy of music can be added to the masses held in the church.
If you have a good voice, or are keen to improve your singing ability, please come and join us.

Gardeners
The gardeners are a group of volunteers, who love gardening and they look after the gardens at St Patricks.
They are always looking for more volunteers and donations of bulbs or plants.
